Bits of My Daily Walk to School

This first one was when we hadn't yet realized that we'd made a wrong turn. Nice though.
Here we are on the correct path again. Cute little one way street.
This is about a little more than half way there. Lots of little sandwich bars.
Here, Phylisha takes advantage of being stuck on that side of the road by taking pictures of the tourist bus. We decided that for these pictures we were ok with looking a little bit like tourists.
I just really liked this building. I think it's beautiful, and always pass this a little slower.
This is a pub that's on the way, I haven't visited it yet, but it's called the "Duke of York"... Very cool. After this though, I've discovered that there are many pubs with cute little names like that. I still like the looks of this one anyway.
Just more buildings, this is allot closer to the school. You can see the end of the road, and from there it's about five minutes to school.
And this is just more buildings. I like them allot. Anyway, all of these picture were actually taken in the other order, we were walking back from school, so actually they start from this last picture and go up. These probably make this look like a short walk, but it takes 25 minutes when you're half running the whole way...I try to leave early enough that I don't have to, but things happen. Maybe eventually I'll get used to this. It's great exercise though.

You Get The Idea!

The preview for that last blog lied to me, so you'll just have to guess what I meant with my talk about some of the pictures. Most of them are pretty self explanatory, I'm sure you're all smart enough to figure it out. I could be a perfectionist and go back and fix this,... but I don't have the energy right now. Hope you enjoy them anyway.

Inside The Flat

All the way to the left was taken after walking in the door to the building. The door to the left to the stairs is to my flat. The middle picture is just after walking in the door to the flat. If you turned right from here, you'd go down some stairs. Straight ahead is the kitchen,... shown to the right. The view below, is from the kitchen door.
If you were to turn left at the foyer you'd enter the dining room, shown below to the left.

Through the dining room is the living room. It has three large couches, and a funny little TV that gets four stations. We try to keep the blinds on these windows shut at night because they lead directly to the sidewalk, and you can see in so clearly that it would be hard not to see inside...not the most comforting.
The stairs you see, lead from the front foyer. In this picture, the laundry is to the left in the pantry. Past that, from what you can see, the second door in the hallway is my bedroom. The picture to the right of that, is inside the room, from my bed. You can see Anita on hers,... Heather on the floor (she's from the next room over), and sort of see Liz's head on the bottom right of the picture.

This is my messy bed nook. To the right, the wall is lined with windows. The view from them is the same garden area that you can see from the kitchen. Anyway, that's the flat. I'm sorry that the pictures aren't the best, and I'm not sure that I've explained where things are in relation to each other very well, but hopefully you can get a basic idea of what everything looks like. This is what you get when you're blogging in a hurry. I'll try to put some of the more interesting stuff up next time.
Well, that's it for now, I don't know when I'll do this again,...but hopefully soon.

Home for now

This is from the sidewalk looking at the building my flat was in. I'm in house 12 on Bedford Place, flat A. It's a pretty row of buildings that look practically the same...only ours has a 12 on the front. Exciting stuff.

Coming soon!

Hello all! I would first like to thank my wonderful boyfriend Ryan for setting me up with this super cool site, my profile... and even putting in the first blog for me as well...it's nice. I've just this week gotten my internet working, so I'll be trying to keep this somewhat updated for those of you who are interested in what I'm up to. If I fall behind I'm sure I'll be hearing about it, so as soon as I figure out how this site works, I'll try to begin with pictures of the flat that I'm living in during my stay here in London. I don't have all the pictures of the flat that I want, but I'll have them as soon as my roommates and I have had a chance to pick up some of our stuff off of the floor...then I'll be allowed to take a picture of the room (Its on my to do list). Until then, you'll all just have to deal with it.
It's 1:30 am here, and my roommates are both trying to sleep. This constant typing probably isn't the most considerate thing to be doing at the moment. I'll try to be back tomorrow to attempt putting some pictures on here for you all.
